This is the digital-signage system for your venue. You upload media, group it into a playlist that loops, and assign that playlist to a screen (a TV). The TV plays it through the VionOS TV Player app. Cameras/audio can also interrupt a screen with live, context-aware content (the part a normal CMS can't do).
The three things you work with: Media (files) → Playlists (ordered loops) → Screens (TVs).
On the Media tab: pick a Category, click + Upload media, and choose images, videos, or HTML files. They're stored permanently in the cloud (S3).
Media never expires — the player fetches a fresh link each time it loads.
On the Playlists tab, build a loop: click media tiles to add them, drag the arrows to reorder, set how many seconds each shows, name it, and Create playlist.
To change an existing playlist, click Edit (or its name). Items play top-to-bottom and then loop. The "▶ On:" line shows which screens currently use it.
Each playlist has an Assign to screen dropdown — pick a screen and it starts playing there. A screen plays one playlist at a time; assigning a new one replaces it. The "▶ On:" line confirms the assignment.
A screen is a display you added (in the Digital Twin with + Display, or here). Each has a player route behind the scenes: /display/<screen>. Customers should not type that on a TV. Open the VionOS TV Player app and pair the code it shows. Visit /display for support controls and browser fallback links.
No hardware? Test it with the browser fallback link from Screens.
Android TV / Google TV: install the VionOS TV Player app and pair the code. Older TV: plug in an Android TV stick / Chromecast / mini-PC and run the app there. In the Digital Twin you can model the stick as a + Player linked to the + Display ("Drives display"). Browser URLs are support fallbacks.
Beyond a fixed loop, a screen can react to what's happening: a camera or microphone event (occupancy, a queue, an audio intent) can interrupt the playlist with relevant content, then resume. This is configured with the cameras/zones and is what makes our signage context-aware.
The player auto-refreshes: edit a playlist or reassign it and screens pick it up within ~30s, no reload. It also caches content, so a brief network drop won't black out the screen — it keeps playing the last loop and recovers automatically.
If a TV is slow to update, open Screensand click Refresh TV. If the venue uses an owner code, the browser asks once and remembers it.
The Default Content Library (our native web player) needs no external CMS. If you already run Rise Vision, Samsung VXT, or Amazon Signage, those appear as providers to connect (coming soon) — you can mix them with our AI-triggered screens.
Each open player heartbeats every ~30s, so the Digital Twin and Edge Fleet show it as online when it's actually playing, or offlinewhen it isn't. Use this to tell, at a glance, which screens are live:
Select a device in the twin to see why (e.g. "last seen 8s ago" / "no heartbeat for 6m").
